Waianae Boat Fishing Club Information

Waianae Boat Fishing Club was originated in 1996 with about 50 members and has remained the same throughout the years. Our main goal is to help keep the harbor in a good and safe condition using our resources. Revenue is generated through our Ahi Fever Tournament and T-shirt sales. These funds provide us with ability to perform various community services throughout the year. We have a volunteer harbor clean-up every month and a club fun fishing tournament every month and lots of fun activities. New members are always welcome and encouraged. We also have a Wahine and a Keiki tournament every year for club members only. WBFC has a fun filled banquet every year with prizes for the various tournaments and other activities throughout the year.

We also host the Waianae Harbor Webcam which can be viewed on every page in our website so you can keep track of the daily action of our beautiful harbor.

The WBFC is proud to have this new website to provide you with links to all the information you need about these activities and tournaments as well as to your favorite links found in the Harbor News page.

If you need more information, please click here and we will respond as soon as possible.

Norman Swift
President

Aloha,
I'm Norman Swift and have been with the Waianae Boat Fishing Club from the start(1996).  Each year we are privileged to get some new faces to help this club stay on the right course and also help other fishermen at the same time.  If you are a fisherman, it doesn't matter if you don't fish anymore or still enjoy the ocean currently, if you would like to help keep our harbor clean and safe, then this is the club for you.  Ideas and a helpful hand are always welcomed and membership is so easy just ask our membership chairpersons and they will be glad to get you started.   Also, please enjoy all of our features and if you have any comments, please contact us, we'll be happy to answer all your questions on Ahi Fever, our funding programs, volunteering, ideas on clean-up, or our Club.  If you would like to stop by and meet our members, we meet for our General Meeting the first Thursday of each month at the harbor office at 7pm.  Our club phone number is 696-3399 but we only use it when we are there and no answering machine is provided.  The best way to contact us is through e-mail on this site and response is normally fast.

Sea ya,
Norman

Aloha Everyone! Check our Club Standing Page to see our standings so far this year. Our next tournament scheduled that was for the sixth of March, 2010 was canceled. It has been rescheduled for the 13th of March. If it is canceled next week then it will be canceled for the entire month of March.

Great News:

The State (DLNR-DAR) has issued/launched a new On-line service which allows commercial fishing licensed holders to fillout/complete/submit your FISHING REPORTS On-line! it took me about 10 minutes and that was it, done! No more Stamps and trying to mail it off on time. The requirements are the same you still must fill it out and submit it before the 10th of every month. The program is a plus. It also allows you to fill it out as you go and allows you to save the data and until you are ready to submit it when you are done fishing for that month. If you don't have access to a computor, No worries you can still mail them in like before. Aloha Walt
